BNSF’s Logistics Park Chicago serves as an inland port for West Coast import containers, sitting on BNSF’s Chillicothe Subdivision and Corridors of Commerce — directly connecting Chicago to LA/Long Beach, Seattle, and Tacoma. This is one of the busiest intermodal terminals in the country.
Mark-It Express operates from Channahon, IL (24125 W. Riverside Drive) — approximately 8 miles from BNSF LPC — positioned adjacent to both BNSF LPC and CN Joliet, allowing efficient dispatch into the CenterPoint Intermodal Center corridor.

UP’s Global IV terminal is co-located with BNSF LPC at the CenterPoint Intermodal Center, forming one of the world’s largest inland logistics hubs. Designed to serve intermodal shippers, Global IV is surrounded by over 100 million square feet of warehouse and distribution space in Will County, IL.

CN Joliet began intermodal operations in June 2013, providing direct daily service to the West Coast of Canada. For shippers routing Trans-Pacific imports via Prince Rupert BC — the shortest rail route between Asia and the US Midwest — this is the preferred Chicago discharge terminal.
CN is also planning a major new intermodal hub adjacent to Channahon (the Chicago Logistics Hub — cnchicagologisticshub.com) that will significantly expand CN’s capacity in this corridor.

NS Landers is Chicago’s primary discharge point for cargo arriving from East Coast ports via Norfolk Southern’s network. CSX Bedford Park is the flagship of CSX’s national intermodal network — their largest facility, handling both domestic and international ocean containers. The yard has been upgraded with modern technology since opening in 1984.
